Born and bred in the hills of the South Waikato, Kim grew up wrestling sheep and cows on the family farm. This paved the way into a career in veterinary science, starting in 1999, where she focused on dairy cattle medicine, firstly in the Waikato, and now in the Central Plateau. As a Dairy Vet with a particular interest in reproduction, milk quality and farm systems, Kim also brings a strong focus on these aspects to her consultancy. Kim has considerable experience with the challenges of large herd dairy farming and enjoys creating and implementing farm specific solutions. With most of her spare time spent in the water, Kim is particularly interested in preserving the quality of waterways, whilst ensuring the profitability of the surrounding farms.
