Hanneke Officer

Originally from the Netherlands, a 7-month research break to New Zealand saw Hanneke fall in love with New Zealand. After finishing her vet degree in 2007, she moved to New Zealand permanently.

Hanneke has been working as a clinical vet for over 17 years, working in South Otago, Canterbury and finally in the Waikato for the last 10 years.

Her interest in dairy nutrition during this time led her to combine consultancy with her veterinary role. Recently, she has moved away from clinical work to focus on consultancy alongside an ongoing training and development role within Anexa Vets.

Hanneke is passionate about cow health with the aim to optimise productivity and efficiency. Her accreditation in Healthy Hoof, Body Condition Scoring and In Calf help supports this.

During her spare time, she loves to explore the outdoors by foot with her family.
