Greg Nicks

Originally from Devon, England, Greg studied in Edinburgh and has worked as a vet in mixed vet clinics in England, Scotland and New Zealand. Greg has worked as a dairy vet in the central North Island, since 2008. Training as a Headlands consultant in 2014 was an opportunity to provide a more holistic service to dairy farm clients.  

Greg is a Dairy NZ trained Incalf and Healthy Hoof advisor and has Dairy NZ accreditation in body condition scoring. He is also a Fonterra accredited mastitis vet and is trained in Massey nutrient management.

Greg currently manages the practice’s heifer grazing programme for around 3000 dairy young stock and is motivated to make sure dairy young stock has the correct foundation required to thrive in the herd. Greg enjoys working with his vet and consultancy clients to optimise their operations according to their farm goals. In his spare time, Greg enjoys outdoor pursuits with his family.
